—— an exploration of the sustainable design of waste porcelain.
Using traditional Chinese handicrafts and materials, Jinshan (repair with Urushi), Jiancidiao (sculptures made from broken porcelain fragments) and Urushi, the discarded porcelain fragments are collected and then cut into certain sizes and shapes with pliers, then glued together and painted with chinese lacquer.
The color porcelain fragments that cannot be degraded naturally are recovered, and processed and treated with traditional intangible cultural heritage such as porcelain carving, gold sculpting and lacquer, to design and produce vases, fruit trays, candle holders, paper lids, and decorative paintings.
